Balls
Yellow (11years - adult)
Yellow Balls are recommended for use by adults and juniors from 11 years and over. They are usually pressurised to enhance playability, however they will vary in bounce, durability and feel. Some balls are designed to perform better on specific surfaces.
Green (9-10 years)
Green balls are recommended for starter adults and junior players aged between 9 and 10 years old on a full sized court. They are not pressurised, so the bounce is generally about 25% slower than a yellow ball and lower enabling the player to develop good technique.
Orange (8-9 years)
Orange balls are recommended for junior players aged between 8 and 9 years old on a slightly smaller court than full size. They are not pressurised, so the bounce is generally about 50% slower than a yellow ball and lower enabling the player to develop good technique on a court appropriate to their height and age. These balls also tend to be bicoloured for better visability and so that kids can appreciate the spin on the ball.
Red (5-8 years)
Red balls are recommended for starter junior players aged between 5 and 8 years old on a small court sized 11m x 5-6m. The bounce is generally about 75% slower than a yellow ball and much lower enabling the player to develop good technique. The are bigger and softer than other balls to assist control. These balls are normally bicoloured the aid visability and appreciation of spin.
Foam (3-7 years)
Foam balls are recommended for starter junior players aged between 3 and 7 years old on an indoor court sized 11m x 5-6m. The bounce is very slow and the balls are large in size to help kids develop control and good technique.
